What you get

  • An icon on your home screen, app list or taskbar
  • Opens full screen, without browser bars

  • Always up to date — there is nothing to download from an app store

The app needs an internet connection: courses, grades and submissions are not stored on your device. It does not send push notifications — notifications work just as they do on the website. Signing out works as on the website, and nothing private is kept on the device.

Android phones and tablets

Chrome or Edge

When your browser offers it, tap “Install app” in the banner or below. Otherwise:

  1. Open the browser menu (top corner of the screen).
  2. Choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.
  3. Confirm with “Install”. The app icon appears on your home screen.

Samsung Internet

  1. Tap the menu in the bottom toolbar. (If an install icon appears in the address bar, you can tap that instead.)
  2. Choose “Add page to”, then “Home screen”.
  3. Tap “Add”. The app icon appears on your home screen.

Firefox

  1. Tap the menu next to the address bar.
  2. Choose “Add to Home screen” (called “Add app to Home screen” or “Install” in some versions).
  3. Confirm with “Add”. The app icon appears on your home screen.

iPhone

Safari

  1. In Safari, tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen. On newer iOS versions, tap ••• first.
  2. Scroll down and choose “Add to Home Screen”.
  3. Tap “Add”. The app icon appears on your home screen.

Chrome, Edge or Firefox

Chrome, Edge and Firefox on iOS 16.4 or later can add the app too: tap Share (in the address bar or the browser menu), then “Add to Home Screen”. If you don’t see that option, open this page in Safari and add it from there.

Inside another app (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn…)

You’re viewing this page inside another app, which can’t install it. Open it in your browser first: tap the app’s menu (••• or ⋮) and choose “Open in browser” (or “Open in Safari” / “Open in Chrome”), then follow the steps there.

iPad

Safari

  1. In Safari, tap the Share button at the top of the screen, next to the address bar. On newer iPadOS versions, it may be under •••.
  2. Choose “Add to Home Screen” from the menu.
  3. Tap “Add”. The app icon appears on your home screen.

Chrome, Edge or Firefox

Chrome, Edge and Firefox on iOS 16.4 or later can add the app too: tap Share (in the address bar or the browser menu), then “Add to Home Screen”. If you don’t see that option, open this page in Safari and add it from there.

Inside another app (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn…)

Computer: Chrome or Edge

  1. Click the install icon at the end of the address bar, if it is shown.
  2. Or open the browser menu: in Chrome choose “Cast, save, and share” → “Install page as app”; in Edge choose “Apps” → “Install this site as an app”.
  3. Confirm with “Install”. The app opens in its own window and can be pinned to your taskbar or Dock.

Other browsers

  • Safari on a Mac (macOS Sonoma or later): choose File → “Add to Dock”.
  • Firefox on a computer can’t install web apps; bookmark the page instead.
  • Other browsers: look for “Install app” or “Add to Home screen” in the browser menu.

Installing is optional — everything works the same in the browser.

Removing the app

Remove it like any other app: on a phone or tablet, press and hold the icon and choose Remove or Uninstall; on a computer, open the app’s menu and choose Uninstall. Your account and courses are not affected.
